Occupy Education

Well, first I occupied the kitchen and made cookies- hazelnuts, and coconut, and chocolate. It was good for my mental health. The compulsion was to hang out in the Twitterverse, watch the labour dispute, and get twitchy.

Today was a day of action in the United States for Transformation Education Bloggers. For me, education is all about helping students learn about the complexity of the world around them. I want them to know what they think about important issues and to build the skills to communicate those ideas in authentic ways:

Educated, articulate, thoughtful voices equals democracy! Raise our voice.
